Village of Fisher Board of Trustees met Jan. 11.

Here are the minutes provided by the board:

The Regular Board of Trustees meeting was held on 11 January 2024 at 6:00 p.m. at the Community Center.

Roll call: Brown-present, Deer-present, Estes-present, Ponton-present, Seidelman-present, Spauldingpresent, Bayler-present.

Motion by Spaulding 2nd by Seidelman to approve the agenda. Voice Vote: all yes. Motion carried.

Motion by Spaulding, 2nd by Estes to approve minutes from the prior meetings. Voice vote: all yes.

Motion carried.

Public Comment: None

Village Presidents Report: President Bayler gave an update on upcoming public works projects and a report from IDPH regarding the trailer park.

Motion by Estes, 2nd by Seidelman to approve payments of claims and accounts from the General Fund.

Roll call vote: Estes-yes, Ponton-yes, Seidelman-yes, Spaulding-yes, Brown-yes, Deer-yes. Motion carried.

Committee Reports

Finance & TIF: Budget meeting will be in May. Trustee Estes presented a finance report.

Public Works: The possibility of applying for another grant for the splash pad was discussed. Part of First Street will be closed for two days for the pouring of concrete. The board was in agreement that a notice will be given to builders/homeowners of new construction that any damage to new sidewalks must be repaired following construction.

Judiciary: Chief Bein presented his report. Updated communication equipment is estimated to cost around $24,000.

Parks & Recreation: Nothing.

OLD BUSINESS:

Nothing.

NEW BUSINESS:

Motion by Brown, 2nd by Seidelman to purchase a new trailer and trade in the old trailer for a cost not to exceed $5,000. Roll call vote: Ponton-yes, Seidelman-yes, Spaulding-yes, Brown-yes, Deer-yes, Estesyes. Motion carried.

Motion by Estes, 2nd by Spaulding to approve the bid by Donohue to update the Village Storm Sewer Map not to exceed $2,500. Roll call vote: Seidelman-yes, Spaulding-yes, Brown-yes, Deer-yes, Estes-yes,

Ponton-yes. Motion carried.

Motion by Deer, 2nd by Ponton to approve a contract with Pavlov Media for internet and phone service.

Roll call vote: Spaulding-yes, Brown-yes, Deer-yes, Estes-yes, Ponton-yes, Seidelman-yes. Motion carried.

Motion by Spaulding, 2nd by Brown to approve Ordinance 24-1 acceptance of public improvements for Heritage Estates West Subdivision to the Village of Fisher. Roll call vote: Brown-yes, Deer-yes, Estesabstain, Ponton-yes, Seidelman-yes, Spaulding-yes. Motion carried.

Motion by Estes 2nd by Deer to approve the appointment of Kyle Welborn to the Planning and Zoning Committee. Roll call vote: Deer-yes, Estes-yes, Ponton-yes, Seidelman-yes, Spaulding-yes, Brown-yes.

Motion carried.
