The city of Champaign hosted its Employee Award and Service Recognition Luncheon Nov. 18 at the Round Barn Banquet Center.
The ceremony honored employees who have shown an exceptional commitment to the city's philosophy over the past year, as well as employees who have worked with the city for many years. Employee awards were given to 57 city staffers for their demonstration of personal integrity, responsibility, respect and results.
Eighty-four employees received service awards for their commitments of five to 35 years, representing a total of 1,380 hours of municipal service.
The city of Champaign has employees across 15 departments. The annual event was attended by more than 250 people family members, employees and council members.
