Louisiana Avenue closed for sanitary sewer repair until November 10

In order to complete a sanitary sewer repair at 505 Louisiana Avenue, Berg Tanks has closed Louisiana Avenue between Harris Avenue and Elm Street. The closure began on November 4 and is expected to last until Monday, November 10, 2025, depending on weather conditions. During this period, Louisiana Avenue will not be open to through traffic; however, access for local properties will be maintained.

According to the City of Champaign, "In order to complete a sanitary sewer repair at 505 Louisiana Avenue, Berg Tanks will close Louisiana Avenue between Harris Avenue and Elm Street. The closure began today, November 4, and will reopen on Monday, November 10, 2025, weather permitting. During the closure, Louisiana Avenue will be closed to through traffic, but access will be maintained to all local properties."
