Rep. Mary Miller, currently serving as the U.S. Congresswoman for Illinois’ 15th district, has addressed a range of issues on her social media accounts in early November 2025. Miller, who succeeded John Shimkus in 2021 after winning two consecutive general elections by wide margins, used her platform to comment on children’s online safety, share a biblical passage, and criticize state leadership.
On November 1, 2025, Rep. Miller posted about proposed legislation targeting minors' exposure to explicit material online: "America is facing a crisis of children being exposed to online pornography before they even reach their teens. My SCREEN Act enforces strict age verification to protect children from the destructive influence of explicit content online." She concluded the message with a call for action: "We must rein in this."
The following day, Miller shared a religious reflection by quoting scripture: “Let me hear in the morning of your steadfast love, for in you I trust. Make me know the way I should go, for to you I lift up my soul.” - Psalm 143:8 (November 2, 2025).
On November 3, 2025, Miller turned her attention to Illinois politics with criticism directed at Governor J.B. Pritzker and Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson: "Sadly, this has become the norm under J.B. Pritzker and Brandon Johnson. Total failure of leadership."
Mary Miller was elected to Congress in both 2020 and 2022 by substantial margins over Erika Weaver and Paul Lange respectively. In those races she secured more than seventy percent of the vote each time.
Miller represents Illinois’ 15th district and has made issues related to family values and public safety prominent themes during her tenure.
