A lane of northbound traffic on Mattis Avenue, between Paula Drive and Williamsburg Drive, will be closed on Tuesday, November 4, 2025. The closure is needed to allow Duce Construction to carry out new pavement construction at the intersection of Mattis Avenue and Hedge Road.
The lane closure is scheduled to begin at 7 a.m., with all lanes expected to reopen by the end of the day if weather conditions allow.
According to the City of Champaign, "In order to complete new pavement construction at the intersection of Mattis Avenue and Hedge Road, Duce Construction will close a single lane of northbound traffic on Mattis Avenue between Paula Drive and Williamsburg Drive. The lane closure will begin at 7 a.m. on Tuesday, November 4, 2025. All lanes will be opened to traffic by the end of the day, weather permitting."
Motorists are advised to be aware of possible delays in this area during construction.
