For an emergency infrastructure repair project, Feutz Contractors are conducting pavement patching on sections of Fox Drive between Devonshire Drive and State Street. The work initially required a temporary road closure beginning Monday, October 20. City officials have announced that the closure will now remain in effect until 8 a.m. on Thursday, October 23, 2025.
The full closure is located just south of 1909 Fox Drive. Local traffic will still be able to access adjacent properties from either the north or south, according to the city. Only local traffic will be permitted in the area during the repair period.
The City of Champaign stated, "Access to all adjacent properties will remain open with access either from the north or south for local traffic only."
The emergency repairs are part of ongoing efforts to maintain infrastructure and ensure public safety in the area.
