Balboa Road will be closed between Dover Place and Coronado Drive to allow for storm sewer construction, according to an announcement from the City of Champaign. The closure will begin at 7 a.m. on Tuesday, October 21, and is expected to last until 4 p.m. on Monday, October 27, 2025, depending on weather conditions.
SNC Construction is carrying out the work. Local traffic will still be able to access driveways and refuse collection services from either cross street during the closure. Traffic on Dover Place and Coronado Drive will not be affected by this project.
The city advises residents and drivers in the area to plan accordingly while construction is underway.
