U.S. Representative Mary Miller, who serves Illinois’ 15th district, posted a series of statements on her social media account on October 21, 2025, criticizing Senate Democrats and their leadership regarding recent government funding efforts.

In her first post at 16:33 UTC, Miller stated, “Let’s be clear: Chuck Schumer isn’t fighting for the American people, he’s fighting to protect his political career from Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and the radical wing of the Democrat Party. Republicans voted to fund the government. Democrats voted NO 11 times.”

Later that day at 19:11 UTC, she followed up with another statement: “Rep. Miller: ‘Illinois officials are parroting false talking points to cover for Senate Democrats like Dick Durbin and Tammy Duckworth, who are blocking funding to force through their $1.4 trillion radical wish list. House Republicans passed a clean, bipartisan bill to keep’”.

She also provided a link in a subsequent tweet at 19:11 UTC with the text “Read More:

Mary Miller has represented Illinois’ 15th district in Congress since replacing John Shimkus in 2021. She was elected after defeating Erika Weaver in the general election of 2020 and Paul Lange in 2022 by wide margins.
