U.S. Representative Mary Miller, who serves Illinois’ 15th district in Congress, has recently shared a series of posts on her official social media account addressing topics ranging from personal faith to political criticism and public safety concerns.
On October 19, 2025, Miller posted a Bible verse: “The Lord is my strength and my shield; in him my heart trusts, and I am helped; my heart exults, and with my song I give thanks to him.” - Psalm 28:7.
A day later, on October 20, 2025, she commented on an alleged threat made by a staff member at Wilbur Wright College. In her post, Miller wrote: “Sickening. A staff member at Wilbur Wright College is calling for ICE agents to get ‘shot’ and ‘wiped out.’ This is a criminal threat that should be investigated. Cc: @TheJusticeDept”.
Continuing her activity online, Miller addressed the ongoing government shutdown on October 21, 2025. She stated: “Day 21 of the Democratic shutdown. How much longer is Chuck Schumer willing to keep up this political stunt at the expense of federal workers and critical federal services? The American people deserve better!”
Miller began representing Illinois’ 15th congressional district in 2021 after succeeding John Shimkus. She was elected to Congress following victories over Erika Weaver in the 2020 general election and Paul Lange in the 2022 general election.
