Lane closures are planned for Neil Street west of the Center Drive intersection in Champaign as part of a pedestrian signal installation project. CS&L will close one northbound lane and one southbound lane to facilitate the work.
According to the City of Champaign, "In order to install pedestrian signals on both sides of Neil Street at Center Drive, CS&L will close one northbound lane and one southbound lane of Neil Street west of the Center Drive intersection. Work is scheduled for Tuesday, October 7, 2025, between the hours of 8 a.m. and 1 p.m."
The temporary closures are expected to help ensure safety while new pedestrian signals are installed.
