Harvard Street between Prospect Avenue and Harris Avenue will be closed to through traffic starting Monday, September 29, as Lanz Underground begins work on a sanitary sewer repair at 707 Harvard Street. The closure is expected to last until Monday, October 6, 2025, depending on weather conditions. Local property access will remain available throughout the project.

According to the City of Champaign Public Works Department, the road closure is necessary for completing essential infrastructure repairs in the area.

“During the closure, Harvard Street will be closed to through traffic, but access will be maintained to all local properties,” the department stated.

The city advises residents and drivers in the area to plan accordingly during this period.
