Eileen Donahue, a junior infielder for the University of Illinois Fighting Illini Women's Softball team, shared her thoughts following the team's recent fall game against Parkland. Donahue, who is from Chicago and studies communications with a minor in advertising, expressed enthusiasm about returning to Eichelberger Field.
She stated, "We are coming off a great first fall game against Parkland! It was so exciting playing at Eichelberger Field again and getting to show what we have all been working hard on."
Donahue highlighted the team's sense of unity and optimism for the upcoming season. She said, "This team is special, and we are ready to do big things. We are excited to see y'all next weekend at Eichelberger for a doubleheader on Sunday!"
The Fighting Illini will host a doubleheader at Eichelberger Field next weekend.
