Rep. Mary Miller, U.S. Congresswoman representing Illinois’ 15th district, posted a series of statements on September 19, 2025, addressing her recent legislative actions and opinions regarding parental rights and political violence.

In a post published at 15:20 UTC, Miller announced her support for a resolution led by Speaker Johnson: "Today, I voted to pass @SpeakerJohnson's resolution honoring the life and legacy of Charlie Kirk and condemning political violence. It should have been unanimous.

58 @HouseDemocrats voted no. That tells you everything about where the Left is today." The statement highlighted partisan division over the resolution’s passage.

Later that day at 17:08 UTC, Miller shared an exclusive report with her followers: "Read the full @DailySignal @TheElizMitchell exclusive:

'For too long, unelected bureaucrats and activist judges have trampled on the role of parents, treating them as obstacles, instead of the primary protectors and decision-makers for https://t.co/XSCBXDB3qg'"

Mary Miller has represented Illinois’ 15th congressional district since replacing John Shimkus in 2021. She won election to Congress in both 2020 and 2022 by significant margins against Erika Weaver and Paul Lange respectively.
