Keirys Click, a sophomore catcher and utility player for the University of Illinois Fighting Illini Women's Softball team, shared an update as the team concluded its eight-hour preseason training period. Click, who is majoring in psychology and comes from Hobart, Indiana, described recent activities that focused on building team cohesion.
According to Click, the players participated in a pool day as part of their team bonding efforts before starting fall season practices. She said this allowed the group to relax and connect with each other outside of regular training sessions.
Click noted that the team's chemistry is already strong at this early stage. "This team is already connecting so well and having so much fun! It's going to be so exciting to see what this year holds for us! We hope to see y'all at Eichelberger on September 21 for the first game of the fall!" she wrote.
The Fighting Illini will begin their fall season on September 21 at Eichelberger Field.
