Illinois athletics has released the promotional schedule for the 2025 Fighting Illini women's soccer season. The team will begin its home games on Monday, August 25, facing Boston College at Demirjian Park with a 6 p.m. CT kickoff.
Admission to all home matches is free, and parking will be available in the Atkins Tennis Center parking lot as well as in grass lots east of the soccer practice field.
The promotional schedule includes several themed events throughout the season. The opener against Boston College is designated as "Monday Night Fùtbol," where fans can enter a drawing for four tickets to an Illinois football game against Western Illinois and a reserved tailgating spot in Grange Grove on August 29.
On Sunday, September 7, when Illinois plays Valparaiso, seniors will be honored in a pregame ceremony. After this match, 100 eighth grade and under members will have the opportunity to participate in a scrimmage against Illini soccer players.
The Friday, September 12 match against Indiana features "Kick the Stigma," an event focused on raising awareness about mental health resources and supporting campus groups addressing student stress and anxiety. This match also marks the start of Big Ten play at Demirjian Park.
Other promotions include "Hail to the Orange Out" during the Penn State match on Thursday, September 25, encouraging fans to wear orange; an alumni match versus Ohio State on Sunday, September 28; and "Women's Empowerment" night during the Rutgers game on Thursday, October 9. At halftime of that game, student-athletes will recognize their Most Valuable Professor.
The final home promotion takes place Sunday, October 12 against Purdue with two themes: "Kick Cancer," which honors those affected by cancer by distributing colored ribbons representing different types of cancer for fans to tie to a net; and Latin X Heritage celebrations recognizing contributions from individuals of Latin X backgrounds.
All home matches are scheduled at Demirjian Park.
