Rep. Mary Miller, who has represented Illinois’s 15th District in the U.S. Congress since 2021, recently shared several statements on social media regarding national law enforcement and immigration policy. Miller, born in Oak Park, Illinois in 1959 and currently residing in Oakland, succeeded John Shimkus and holds a BA from Eastern Illinois University.
On July 11, 2025, Miller criticized Rep. Delia Ramirez's public comments regarding law enforcement and immigration authorities. She stated: "This kind of rhetoric from @repdeliaramirez is dangerous and puts our law enforcement at risk.
They don’t care about law and order or the safety of our ICE agents.
Democrats have completely lost their minds!"
The following day, July 12, 2025, Miller addressed the handling of unaccompanied children entering the United States under President Biden’s administration. She wrote: "Biden and Mayorkas let over 300,000 unaccompanied children into the U.S.
They didn’t vet who took them or track where they went.
Now, kids as young as 7 are being rescued from forced labor and abuse in California under @GavinNewsom.
We need to see ARRESTS!!"
Later on July 12, Miller commented on federal governance and expressed support for former President Trump and Secretary Rubio’s reform efforts. She posted: "Washington, D.C., is bloated, corrupt, and completely out of touch.
President Trump and @SecRubio are right to clean house. Keep it up!"
Mary Miller is currently serving her second term representing Illinois’ 15th district in Congress after succeeding John Shimkus in 2021. She holds a degree from Eastern Illinois University.
