The Big Ten Conference has released the women's basketball opponents for the 2025-26 season. Illinois, along with 17 other teams, will enter the second year of an 18-team schedule. Each team is set to face one opponent both at home and away, as well as 16 other opponents—eight at home and eight away.

Illinois will encounter Northwestern twice through both home and away games. The home games will feature Indiana, Maryland, Minnesota, Ohio State, Rutgers, Wisconsin, UCLA, and USC. Meanwhile, the team will travel to face Iowa, Michigan, Michigan State, Nebraska, Penn State, Purdue, Washington, and Oregon.

"Game dates, times, and television information will be announced at a later time," stated the league office.

The season will conclude with the 33rd Big Ten Women's Basketball Tournament at the Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Indiana, from March 4-8, 2026.

Season ticket renewals are set to begin in May, with new tickets available in June.

Under head coach Shauna Green, the Illinois women's basketball team boasts 63 victories over three seasons, marking significant achievements such as the program's first postseason championship in 2024, consecutive top-5 attendances at the State Farm Center, and a highly-ranked recruiting class for the 2025-26 season.

The Illinois team's historic progression includes earning wins against six AP Top 25-ranked teams, consistent double-digit home victories over three seasons, and their first NCAA Tournament game win in 25 years.
