Illinois faced a narrow defeat in their tennis match against Oregon on their first visit to Eugene, Oregon. The closely contested road dual ended with a 4-3 victory for the Ducks.

This meeting was the first-ever between the Illinois team and the University of Oregon. In the doubles matches, Oregon won the point by securing victories at the No. 1 and 2 spots. However, Illinois's Max Mroz and William Mroz, playing together for the first time at the collegiate level, managed to secure a win in the No. 3 doubles against Vlad Breazu and Clement Lemire, finishing with a score of 6-4.

Kenta Miyoshi was the first victor in the singles competition. On the top singles court, Miyoshi faced No. 104 Lenn Luemkemann, achieving a 6-3, 6-1 win. This marked his 17th ranked win of the junior campaign.

After Oregon regained the lead with a win at No. 4 singles, Mathis Debru balanced the match again with his triumph at No. 6 singles. Debru secured a 6-4, 6-3 win, enhancing his record to 15-9 overall.

The Ducks then led with a win on Court 5, but Tyler Bowers equalized the match once more with a victory at No. 3 singles. Bowers' 6-3, 7-6(4) win marked his second conference singles win of the season.

Ultimately, Oregon sealed their victory with a two-set win at No. 2 singles, concluding the match at 4-3.
