Pole vaulters Morello and Thomas to compete at Texas A&M Invitational

Mia Morello and Tori Thomas, both accomplished pole vaulters, are traveling to College Station, Texas, for the 44 Farms Invitational, hosted by Texas A&M. The event will take place on Friday, April 11, with the women's pole vault set to begin at 5:30 p.m. CT.

Thomas had a strong indoor season, earning NCAA Indoor All-America honors for the second consecutive year by vaulting 4.40 meters (14-5 1/4) and securing seventh place at the NCAA Indoor Championships. Two weeks prior, she won bronze at the Big Ten Indoor Championships with a 4.46 meters (14-7 1/2) vault. In her first outdoor meet at the Pepsi Florida Relays, she finished second with a 4.25 meters (13-11 1/4) vault.

Morello achieved sixth place at the Big Ten Indoor Championships with a season-best 4.26 meters (13-11 3/4) vault. In her outdoor season, she finished second at the USF Alumni Invitational on March 21 with a vault of 4.20 meters (13-9 1/4), and third at the Pepsi Florida Relays on April 4 with a 4.05 meters (13-3 1/2) vault.
