Fighting Illini Athletics will be hosting the Spring Sports Fest from April 11 to April 13 in Champaign, Illinois. The event will feature eight home games across three sports, with free admission throughout the weekend.
Fans are encouraged to attend multiple events over the three days. A punch card system will be in place, where attendees can receive punches for attending events in each of the three sports: baseball, softball, and men's tennis. Collecting punches from each sport will earn them an Illinois Prize Pack at the marketing table.
The lineup of events begins on Friday, April 11, with men's tennis versus Ohio State at 6 PM, featuring free food for the first 100 fans. Baseball will face Indiana at 6 PM, while the softball team will play against Michigan State at 7:30 PM during the Strikeout Cancer Weekend Pink Game.
On Saturday, April 12, the softball team continues their series against Michigan State at 1 PM with the theme of Strikeout Cancer Weekend - All Cancer. At 3 PM, the baseball team will go up against Indiana, followed by senior night for the men's tennis team at 6 PM against Penn State, again offering free food for the first 100 fans.
The weekend concludes on Sunday, April 13, with the softball team taking on Michigan State at 12 PM, during the Gold Game of Strikeout Cancer Weekend. The baseball team will once again face Indiana at 1 PM, with the event featuring a Bark in the Park and Youth League Day.
Fans can collect a punch card at any event across the weekend, and upon receiving punches from events in each of the three sports, they can claim their Illinois Prize Pack. The initiative aims to encourage support across all sports and offer an engaging experience for attendees.
