Sophomore pitcher Megan Nuechterlein updates on Illinois softball recent games and upcoming matches

My name is Megan Nuechterlein, and I am a sophomore pitcher from Macomb, Michigan. This is my first year in Orange and Blue, and I could not be happier. I am majoring in recreation, sports, and tourism.

This past weekend we faced Washington, and our series ended early due to inclement weather. We played a hard-fought game on Friday but came up short. We were scheduled to face Washington the following day on Saturday; however, after the top of the first inning and a few rain delays, the game was canceled.

We are looking forward to competing this upcoming week as we face Western Illinois on Tuesday at Eichelberger and will travel to Evanston, Ill., for a series against Northwestern this weekend.
