The Champaign Fire Department responded to a vehicle fire next to a home in the 500 block of Harris Ave. on Monday, March 24, 2025, at 3:49 p.m. The fire crews quickly brought the situation under control.
Firefighters arrived following reports of a fully involved vehicle fire adjacent to a single-family home. Upon arrival, they used a single hose line to extinguish the flames. The firefighters successfully prevented the fire from spreading to the nearby residence.
Currently, investigators are still working on determining the cause of the fire as they continue their investigation at the scene. There were no injuries reported among the firefighters.
