Senior Jackson Buchanan and junior Ryan Voois played pivotal roles in leading the No. 13-ranked Fighting Illini to a fourth-place finish at the Pauma Valley Invitational, held at the Pauma Valley Country Club. The team completed the tournament with a 54-hole score of 842, finishing ten strokes under par.
Buchanan tied for seventh place with scores of 68, 72, and 68 across three rounds, ending five under par. Voois secured a tie for 13th place with rounds of 69, 67, and 74, finishing three under par.
The Illini will next compete at the Memphis Intercollegiate from March 31 to April 1. This event is hosted by the Memphis Tigers at Colonial Country Club in Cordova, Tennessee.
