Seven former University of Illinois golfers are set to participate in professional golf events worldwide this week. They will compete in the PGA TOUR, LIV Golf, Korn Ferry Tour, and PGA Tour Champions.

Thomas Detry and Brian Campbell, recent winners on the PGA TOUR, will compete at the Arnold Palmer Invitational at Bay Hill Club & Lodge in Orlando, Florida. Detry ranks fourth in the FedEx Cup standings and 23rd in the Official World Golf Ranking (OWGR). He returns to action after last competing in mid-February at The Genesis Invitational. Campbell is 14th in the FedEx Cup and just outside the top 100 in OWGR. He recently won the Mexico Open and will make his debut at the Arnold Palmer Invitational.

Nick Hardy and Adrien Dumont de Chassart will play in the Puerto Rico Open at Grand Reserve Golf Club. Dumont de Chassart is coming off a T16 finish at the Korn Ferry Tour's Visa Argentina Open.

Thomas Pieters and his team from 4Aces Golf Club will compete in LIV Golf's third event of the season at Hong Kong Golf Club. The team currently stands eighth overall but achieved a T5 finish recently in Adelaide, Australia. Pieters has consistently placed within the top 20 during this season's first two events.

Luke Guthrie is participating alone for Illini on the Korn Ferry Tour this week at the Astara Chile Classic held at Prince of Wales Country Club in Santiago, Chile. Guthrie aims for his third consecutive made cut following a T49 finish last week.

Steve Stricker returns to action on the PGA TOUR Champions circuit this week at Tucson’s Cologuard Classic. A seasoned golfer with 12 PGA TOUR wins, Stricker seeks his 19th victory on this tour after finishing T19 earlier this year at another event.
