Lizzie Stiverson, a junior infielder from Monticello, Illinois, is majoring in Kinesiology with aspirations of becoming a physical therapist. As the softball season begins, she shares her excitement about getting back on the field after weeks of preparation.
The team recently participated in their first game week and prepared for the UCF tournament by honing their physical skills and mentality. Over the weekend, they competed in Orlando, Florida, enjoying favorable weather conditions to kick off the season. The team finished the weekend with a 1-4 record, securing a win against CSU Bakersfield.
Reflecting on their performance, Stiverson notes that the team learned much about themselves and their potential. They are eager to continue working hard as they prepare for upcoming competitive games in Nashville.
