The University of Illinois men's basketball team, ranked 23rd nationally, secured a significant victory over the University of Minnesota with a final score of 95-74. The game took place at Williams Arena in Minneapolis on Saturday evening. This win marks Illinois' fourth road victory within the Big Ten Conference this season.

Illinois demonstrated strong offensive play with three players scoring in double figures. Will Riley led all scorers with 27 points, along with nine rebounds and a career-high seven assists. "First game this season with at least 20 points, seven rebounds and seven assists," noted Riley's performance summary. Tomislav Ivisic contributed his ninth double-double of the season by scoring 18 points and securing 11 rebounds. Kasparas Jakucionis added another 24 points to the team's total, marking his ninth game this season scoring over 20 points.

Ben Humrichous also made notable contributions with nine points, six rebounds, four assists, and a block.

Minnesota initially took an early lead by making their first three three-point attempts but could not maintain their advantage as Illinois quickly responded with an effective offense. Illinois ended the first half leading by eleven points and extended their lead throughout the second half to secure a comfortable win.

The victory brings Illinois to an overall conference record of eight wins and six losses for the current season. The team will return home for a two-game homestand beginning Tuesday night against UCLA.
