Illinois achieved a decisive 85-60 victory against Northwestern on Thursday night, marking their fifth consecutive win over the Wildcats. The game took place in Evanston, Illinois.
The Illini never trailed during the match and saw five players score in double figures for the first time this season. Kendall Bostic led with 20 points and 11 rebounds, securing her fourth double-double in five games. Adalia McKenzie contributed 15 points, while Genesis Bryant added a double-double with 13 points and a career-high 13 assists.
Brynn Shoup-Hill and Berry Wallace also made significant contributions with 10 and 14 points respectively. Cori Allen recorded a career-high of 11 rebounds along with six points.
The Illini started strong, gaining an early lead that they maintained throughout the game. By halftime, Illinois had established a commanding 50-22 advantage. They continued to dominate in the second half, extending their lead to as much as 37 points before concluding the game.
Following this road victory, Illinois will return to State Farm Center for a home game against Purdue on Monday night at 7:30 p.m. CT.
