The Illinois men's tennis team is set to host the Fighting Illini Invite from January 17-19 at the Atkins Tennis Center in Champaign. The event will see participation from No. 8 Columbia and Boise State, featuring both singles and doubles play over three days.

The competition begins on Friday morning with a doubles tournament starting at 10 a.m. CT, where four tandems from each school will compete. Matches will be played to six sets, with winners advancing for a doubles title.

After a lunch break, singles play resumes at 2 p.m. CT, followed by Illinois' "dual" match against Boise State and Columbia at 5 p.m. CT. This dual match marks the final event of the first day.

On Saturday, action starts at 12 p.m. CT with Columbia's dual match against Illinois and Boise State players. Singles matches commence at 3 p.m., followed by additional matches in the evening.

Sunday's schedule begins at 10 a.m. CT with Boise State's dual match against Columbia and Illinois players, concluding with singles matches among all three teams.

Participants can expect four to six doubles sets and at least three singles matches per student-athlete throughout the invite.

This event marks the first home competition for Illinois in 2025 under head coach Brad Dancer, who is in his 20th season leading the program.
