Head coach Brad Dancer has announced the 2025 spring schedule for the Illinois men's tennis team, marking his 20th season leading the program. The Fighting Illini will host nine dual matches during their spring campaign.

The team's season begins with the Thunderbird Invite from January 7-12 in Tempe, Arizona. Illinois will then return home to participate in the Fighting Illini Invite, facing players from Boise State and Columbia from January 17-19.

The squad is set to compete in the ITA Kickoff Weekend in Knoxville, Tennessee, starting on January 25 against the Volunteers. On January 26, they will play either Auburn or Michigan. Success in these matches could lead them to the ITA National Team Indoor Championship from February 14-18.

Following this, Illinois will visit Duke and North Carolina for matches on January 31 and February 1, respectively. Their first home dual matches are scheduled for February 5 against Clemson and Notre Dame. A nonconference match against Michigan is set for February 22 before away games at UTRGV and Baylor on March 1 and Ohio State on March 5.

Illinois begins its Big Ten campaign at home against Nebraska on March 7 and Wisconsin on March 9. The team will travel to Purdue (March 14) and Indiana (March 16) for their first conference road matches.

Back at Atkins Tennis Center, Illinois will face UCLA on March 21 and USC on March 23 in their first Big Ten matchups as conference opponents.

Five of the last seven conference matches are away games, including contests at Northwestern (March 29), Michigan (April 4), and Michigan State (April 6). The Illini's final home games are against Ohio State (April 11) and Penn State (April 12).

The regular season concludes with visits to Oregon on April 18 and Washington on April 20. The Big Ten Tournament is slated for April 24-27 at Ohio State's campus in Columbus, Ohio. The NCAA Tournament's initial rounds are planned for May 2-4.
