The team will host the ITA National Indoor Championships and 12 matches at the Atkins Tennis Center. The schedule includes at least nine matches against teams that participated in the 2024 NCAA Team Tournament.
The season begins on January 18 with a match against Notre Dame in South Bend, Indiana. Northwestern will visit Urbana for a nonconference match on January 26. On January 31, Illinois will face Georgia Tech at home, seeking to overcome last year's loss to them in the NCAA Tournament.
Illinois will welcome Colorado on February 2. From February 7-9, Illinois and Northwestern will co-host the ITA National Indoor Championships. As hosts, Illinois is guaranteed three matches without needing to qualify through ITA Kickoff Weekend.
Iowa State and Baylor are scheduled to play in Urbana on February 14 and February 15, respectively. After a two-week break, Illinois hosts Western Michigan in a doubleheader on March 1 before traveling for Big Ten matches against Minnesota and Wisconsin on March 7 and March 9.
Following these away games, Illinois returns home for four consecutive matches against Iowa (March 14), Nebraska (March 16), Oregon (March 22), and Washington (March 24). In late March, Illinois visits Michigan on March 29 and Michigan State on March 30.
April sees home games against Penn State (April 5) and Ohio State (April 6) before visiting Northwestern for a Big Ten match on April 12. The regular season concludes with away games at Indiana (April 18) and Purdue (April 20).
The Big Ten Tournament is set for April 23-27 in Ojai, California. The NCAA Tournament Selection Show is scheduled for April 27 with regional competitions from May 2-4.
According to the final ITA Team rankings of the previous year, Illinois is expected to play at least thirteen matches against ranked opponents including No.5 Michigan and No.15 Ohio State among others.
