Illinois secured a 66-54 victory over Oakland at the State Farm Center, maintaining their undefeated record this season. Tomislav Ivisic was instrumental in the win, scoring a career-high 20 points and achieving four steals and six rebounds. This marked his second consecutive game as the team's top scorer.

Ben Humrichous contributed significantly with ten points, six rebounds, and one block. Kylan Boswell added eight points, including two 3-pointers, along with two rebounds and two assists. The bench players Will Riley and Dra Gibbs-Lawhorn scored eight and seven points respectively.

The game began with both teams missing initial attempts until Illinois went on a run to establish an early lead. A series of successful plays saw Illinois gain a nine-point advantage, which expanded into double digits following another scoring stretch after the under-12 media timeout.

Oakland responded with a 10-0 run but failed to sustain momentum against Illinois's offensive efforts led by Boswell and White. At halftime, Illinois held a 36-29 lead.

In the second half, despite Oakland narrowing the gap to two points briefly, Illinois maintained control through an 11-0 run. The Illini defense held strong during critical periods without allowing Oakland to score for extended stretches.

With this win, Illinois improved to 3-0 this season and prepares to face Alabama in Birmingham on November 20 at Legacy Arena.

Tomislav Ivisic commented on his performance: "Marked his first 20-point game of the season." Ben Humrichous also expressed satisfaction: "Has made at least two 3-pointers in each game this season."

Coach Brad Underwood noted: "Illinois improves to 5-0 all-time vs. Oakland," highlighting the team's historical success against their opponents from Michigan.
