Illinois volleyball secured a victory against Iowa in a four-set match at Xtreme Arena on Sunday. The Fighting Illini now hold a 14-6 overall record and are 6-4 in Big Ten play, while the Hawkeyes dropped to 9-13 and 3-7 in league action.
The Illini achieved 60 kills with a hitting percentage of .260. Raina Terry led the team with 18 kills, contributing significantly to her career total of 2,311.5 points, setting a new program record. Terry also became the third Big Ten player to achieve 200 aces during the rally scoring era.
Defensively, Illinois recorded 62 digs, with Christina Martinez Mundo leading at 20 digs. Terry (12), Lily Barry (10), and Brooke Mosher (10) also had double-digit digs. Mosher added 36 assists for a double-double performance. The team registered ten blocks, with Ashlyn Philpot securing six and both Terry and Cari Bohm achieving five each.
