Illinois women's golf concludes day one at Liz Murphey Collegiate Classic

The Illinois women's golf team concluded the first two rounds of the Liz Murphey Collegiate Classic in eighth place. The team posted scores of 302 (+14) and 289 (+1).

Yurang Li and Lexanne Halama led the Illini, both tying for 26th place at 4-over. Li recorded rounds of 76 (+4) and 72 (E), while Halama achieved rounds of 78 (+6) and an impressive 70 (-2), accumulating six birdies in her second round.

Anna Ritter finished tied for 42nd with consecutive rounds of 75 (+5). Isabel Sy is tied for 55th after scoring rounds of 82 (+10) and a solid 72 (E). Erica Lee ended the day tied for 65th following rounds of 73 (+1) and a challenging round of 83 (+11).

Competing individually, Sophia Sulkar stands in the 73rd position with scores of 77 (+5) and 81 (+9).

Auburn leads the team standings at a collective score of 3-under, while Kansas State's Carla Bernat is at the top individually with an impressive score of 8-under.

The Fighting Illini are set to continue their efforts tomorrow, with final round tee times starting at 7:35 a.m. CT.
