Illinois women's golf team is currently positioned in 10th place after the first two rounds of the Therese Hession Buckeye Invitational in Columbus, Ohio. The team recorded scores of 302 (+14) and 305 (+17).
Sophomore Anna Ritter leads the Illini with rounds of 74 (+2) and 75 (+3), tying for 18th place. Ritter achieved an eagle on No. 18 during the first round and made four birdies throughout the day. She was the only golfer to score an eagle in the first two rounds.
Isabel Sy is tied for 26th, with scores of 74 (+2) and 76 (+4). She holds the second-lowest par-5 scoring average in the tournament at 4.50 (-4).
Yurang Li and Lexanne Halama are both tied for 41st place. Li posted scores of 78 (+6) and 76 (+4), while Halama scored rounds of 76 (+4) and 78 (+6).
Erica Lee stands at 60th with rounds of 79 (+7) and 78 (+6). Sophia Sulkar is tied for 66th after carding rounds of 79 (+7) and a challenging second round with an overall score of +10.
The team's par-5 scoring average is tied for second-lowest among competitors at a solid mark of 4.94.
Ohio State leads as hosts, posting a team score of two-under (574), while Caley McGinty from Ohio State tops individual standings at five-under (139).
