The Illinois volleyball team is gearing up for the 2024 Big Ten regular season, with the league office recently announcing their conference opponents. This marks the first schedule following the addition of Oregon, UCLA, USC, and Washington to the conference.

According to the Big Ten, "All 42 matchups that did not occur at a certain site in 2023 happen at that site in 2024." Additionally, institutions located in Eastern Standard Time (EST) and Central Standard Time (CST) will each have one away/away road trip to Pacific Standard Time (PST). The opponent rotation also considered geography and competitive balance for two-plays where possible.

Illinois will face Indiana, Nebraska, and Northwestern both at home and on the road. Fans can watch matches against Maryland, Minnesota, Ohio State, Rutgers, UCLA, USC, and Wisconsin at Huff Hall. The team will travel for games against Iowa, Michigan, Michigan State, Oregon, Penn State, Purdue, and Washington.

This upcoming season will be head coach Chris Tamas's eighth year leading Illinois Volleyball. Under his guidance, the team has achieved a record of 131-81 and made four NCAA Tournament appearances. In 2023, the Fighting Illini concluded their season with an overall record of 16-14 and an 11-9 mark in Big Ten play.
