Illinois volleyball is set to host DePaul at Huff Hall on Friday, with the match starting at 5:30 p.m.
The Fighting Illini finished last season with a 16-14 record, including an 11-9 standing in Big Ten play. They will have AVCA All-Region and All-Big Ten First Team honoree Raina Terry returning for her final season in 2024. Terry ended her senior year leading the Big Ten with 618 total points and ranked second with 539 total kills. Carolina Barnes, who hails from Naperville, Illinois, will also return as libero for her senior season after achieving a team-best of 331 digs last year, averaging 3.34 digs per set.
DePaul completed the previous season with an 18-15 record and a balanced 9-9 against BIG EAST competitors. Jill Pressly led the Blue Demons offensively with 516 kills last season, averaging 4.96 per set. Rachel Krasowski topped the team defensively with 553 digs, while freshman Meghan Scholz achieved a team-high of 93 blocks.
Fans attending the match are advised to park in the garage located at Fourth Street and Pennsylvania Avenue or use Lots E2 and E18 after 5 p.m. CT. The State Farm Center quadrants will be reserved for paid or permit parking only.
