Illinois volleyball is set for a challenging weekend with matches against Iowa and Nebraska. The team will face Iowa on Friday at Xtream Arena, followed by a match against top-ranked Nebraska on Sunday at the Bob Devaney Sports Center. Both matches are available for fans to watch on B1G+.

This season marks Illinois volleyball's 50th anniversary, boasting an overall record of 1,063-621-7 (.629). Head coach Chris Tamas, in his seventh year, has achieved a 128-78 (.621) record with the team.

In their previous encounter, Illinois lost to #2 Wisconsin in straight sets. Brooke Mosher led with 19 assists and eight digs, while Raina Terry contributed nine kills and two aces.

Illinois has an impressive track record against Iowa, winning the last 11 matches and leading the series 70-14. However, they have struggled against Nebraska with an 8-33-1 record and losing the last eight encounters. Coach Tamas holds an undefeated 11-0 record against Iowa but is 1-10 against Nebraska.

Raina Terry continues to excel in her senior year, achieving over 20 kills in eight matches this season. She currently ranks tenth all-time in career kills for Illinois and fifth for career service aces.

Kennedy Collins recently marked her 400th career block during the Boilermaker Challenge. Her performance places her ninth in Illinois' all-time rankings for total blocks.

Iowa remains winless in Big Ten play with an overall record of 8-18. In contrast, Nebraska stands undefeated this season with a perfect conference record.

Illinois has consistently performed well defensively this season with notable blocking stats across several games. They have recorded double-digit roofs in half of their matches so far.
