Former Illini athletes contribute significantly in NFL Week 4

The recent NFL Week 4 games featured several former University of Illinois players making their mark on the field. Notable performances included Tony Adams of the New York Jets, who started at safety and logged 11 tackles, two of which were for a loss, during the team's narrow 10-9 defeat to the Denver Broncos.

Nick Allegretti played a pivotal role for the Washington Commanders as they secured a decisive 42-14 victory over the Arizona Cardinals. Allegretti served as team captain and participated in 69 offensive snaps. His teammate Quan Martin also contributed significantly with four tackles.

Chase Brown stood out for the Cincinnati Bengals by rushing for 80 yards and scoring two touchdowns in their 34-24 win against the Carolina Panthers. Meanwhile, Kerby Joseph was instrumental in Detroit Lions' triumph over Seattle Seahawks, recording nine tackles and an interception.

Other former Illini players such as Nate Hobbs from Las Vegas Raiders and Kendrick Green from Houston Texans also made notable contributions to their respective teams' victories. However, some like Tommy DeVito of New York Giants and Vederian Lowe of New England Patriots were not active this week.

Overall, Week 4 showcased diverse contributions from these athletes across various positions in different NFL teams.
