Head Coach Brad Underwood has announced the signing of Tomislav Ivisic to the University of Illinois' Fighting Illini basketball program. The Croatian center, standing at 7-foot-1-inch and weighing 230 pounds, brings his experience from SC Derby in Montenegro's Adriatic League First Division.

Underwood expressed enthusiasm about Ivisic joining the team, stating, "Tomislav is the modern day 5-man who fits right into our style play as a big who can space the floor." He highlighted Ivisic's skills in pick and rolls, passing, shooting threes, and rim protection. Underwood also noted that Ivisic's experience against high-level competition has significantly contributed to his development.

During his time with SC Derby, Ivisic played 69 games and averaged 6.4 points on 54.2% shooting. He also recorded averages of 3.5 rebounds, 0.9 assists, and 0.5 blocks per game while maintaining an impressive free-throw percentage above 85%. In the recent season, he achieved career highs in scoring average (7.1), assists (1.3), blocks (1.0), and shooting percentages.

Internationally, Ivisic represented Croatia in various championships including the FIBA U16 European Championship in both 2018 and 2019 and participated in the FIBA U20 European Championship in 2023. He also played for Croatia's senior national team during the FIBA EuroBasket 2025 Pre-Qualifier.

Tomislav has a twin brother named Zvonimir who recently transferred from Kentucky to Arkansas after playing there as a freshman last season.
