Fighting Illini hosts free basketball watch party at State Farm Center

Fighting Illini Athletics is organizing a basketball watch party at the State Farm Center on Thursday, March 28. The event will feature both women's and men's postseason games displayed on the videoboard. Gates open at 6 p.m. CT, and entry is free for all ages.

The first 350 attendees will receive a complimentary hot dog, courtesy of Illinois Student Affairs. Coca-Cola will be present with giveaways and taste testing opportunities. Max (formerly HBO) will provide a photo booth and additional giveaways.

The schedule includes the women's basketball team starting their WBIT quarterfinal game against Tulsa at 6:30 p.m. CT, followed by the conclusion of the UConn/San Diego State men's game, and then the men's Sweet 16 match against Iowa State. During breaks between games, there will be crowd participation contests such as knockout, 3-point shooting, trivia, and more.

Concessions will offer dinner options along with drink specials including $5 Twisted Tea, $3 Icon beer, $6 margaritas and pink lemonades, and $8 25oz Bud Lights.

Fans are advised to enter through the West main gates of State Farm Center. Parking is available for free in the northwest and southwest lots. The clear bag policy will be enforced.
