The Big Ten Conference has announced the bracket for the 31st Big Ten Women's Basketball Tournament, presented by TIAA. The tournament will take place from March 6-10 at the Target Center in Minneapolis. The Fighting Illini, seeded ninth, will open their postseason play on Thursday against eighth-seeded Maryland at 11:30 a.m. CT.

Illinois secured a first-round bye due to their top-10 finish in the regular season conference standings. This marks consecutive seasons with a first-round bye for Illinois since the league expanded to 14 teams before the 2014-15 season.

All games of this year's tournament will be broadcast live nationally. The opening round will be streamed on Peacock for the first time, while the Big Ten Network and FOX Sports App will cover games from the second round through to the semifinals. CBS will air the championship game on Sunday, March 10 at 11 a.m. CT, marking its debut broadcast of this event's title game.

Tickets for all sessions of the tournament have sold out, making it a historic sellout for this annual event that spans over three decades. More than 109,000 fans are expected over five days of competition. Tickets can still be purchased through TicketSmarter, which is recognized as the official secondary market for Big Ten events.
