Illinois women's basketball team is set to compete in the first round of the Women's Basketball Invitation Tournament (WBIT) against Missouri State. The game is scheduled for 6 p.m. CT on Thursday, March 21.
The Fighting Illini have been seeded No. 4 in the WBIT and are among the 32 teams participating in this event. Illinois is also one of the 16 host sites for the tournament's inaugural first round.
This upcoming match will mark the fourth meeting between Illinois and Missouri State. Currently, Illinois leads with a 2-1 record in their previous encounters. Their last face-off occurred in 2010 during the Women's National Invitation Tournament's first round, where Illinois emerged victorious with a score of 65-53.
Tickets for this Thursday's game will be available to the public starting at 4 p.m. CT on Monday. Fans can purchase tickets for what will be Illinois' first postseason contest at State Farm Center since 2013.
