Six players from the University of Illinois participated in the 2024 NFL Combine held in Indianapolis. This marks a record number of Fighting Illini invited to the event. The players showcased their skills and physical attributes across various drills.
Isaiah Adams, an offensive lineman standing 6'2" and weighing 315 pounds, ran the 40-yard dash in 5.22 seconds, completed 22 reps on the bench press, achieved a vertical leap of 24.5 inches, a broad jump of 102 inches, and finished the shuttle run in 4.73 seconds with a three-cone drill time of 7.77 seconds.
Defensive lineman Jer'Zhan Newton measured at 6'2" and weighed in at 304 pounds. Julian Pearl, another offensive lineman, was recorded at a height of 6'6" and weight of 312 pounds.
Keith Randolph Jr., also a defensive lineman, had notable performances with a bench press count of 29 reps and a vertical leap reaching 28.5 inches. His broad jump spanned 105 inches.
Tight end Tip Reiman stood at 6'5", weighed in at 271 pounds, clocked a shuttle time of 4.64 seconds, leaped vertically for 28 inches and horizontally for a distance of 114 inches, completing his three-cone drill in 7.02 seconds.
Wide receiver Isaiah Williams measured at a height of 5'9" and weight of 182 pounds. He ran the shuttle in just over four seconds (4.63), jumped vertically for an impressive height of nearly four feet (38 inches), and reached out for an extended broad jump distance measuring over ten feet (123 inches).
The performances by these athletes were part of their efforts to attract attention from NFL scouts ahead of this year's draft.
