Illinois women's gymnastics head coach Nadalie Walsh has announced the addition of Ashlyn Doyle and Marly Esteves to the 2025 roster. These athletes join four other Class of 2024 signees: Kennedy Brown, Chloe Cho, Mya Gordon, and Eden King.

Walsh expressed enthusiasm about the new recruits: "Adding Marly and Ashlyn to our roster will benefit the culture and competitiveness of the team immediately," she said. She highlighted their strong character, work ethic, and clean gymnastics performances. Walsh also noted that Esteves excels on bars and floor while Doyle is outstanding on vault and beam.

Doyle comes from Champion Gymnastics USA in Grand Rapids, Michigan. She is a three-time national qualifier with notable achievements at state and regional championships. Doyle placed first on vault at both the 2024 Michigan state championships and the 2023 regional championships. Her choice to attend Illinois was influenced by "the tremendous support they give to their athletes" and the strong team culture.

Esteves is affiliated with Gold Medal Gymnastics in Scottsdale, Arizona. She holds titles as a Level 10 gold medalist and a 2024 floor and vault state champion. In 2023, she placed second on bars at her state championships. Esteves decided on Illinois because she "fell in love with everything about the university."
