Seven student-athletes from the Illinois men's tennis team are participating in the ITA Midwest Regional, taking place from October 10 to 14 at the MSU Tennis Center in East Lansing, Michigan. The tournament began with singles qualifying play on Thursday, but all Illini players have secured spots in both singles and doubles main draws.

Representing Illinois in singles are Tyler Bowers, Mathis Debru, Gabrielius Guzauskas, Kenta Miyoshi, William Mroz, Zach Viiala, and Jeremy Zhang. In doubles action, the pairs of Guzauskas/Mroz, Miyoshi/Debru, and Viiala/Bowers are competing.

In doubles competition on October 11th during the Round of 32: "Kenta Miyoshi/Mathis Debru (Illinois) def. Quang Vinh Nguyen/Thomas Giles (DePaul), 8-0", "Gabrielius Guzauskas/William Mroz (Illinois) def.
