Foley scores decisive goal in Illinois' victory over Maryland

Sarah Foley's penalty kick in the 17th minute secured a 1-0 victory for the Fighting Illini against Maryland at Demirjian Park on Sunday. This goal was enough to earn three crucial points in Big Ten play, marking the team's first conference win of the season. The Illini limited the Terrapins to just one shot on goal during the match.

Foley, an advertising major, currently leads her team with eight goals this season, the highest by any Illini player since 2018.
