Three Illini golfers in top ten after two rounds at Bettie Lou Evans Invitational

Illinois women's golf team concluded the second round of the Bettie Lou Evans Invitational in third place, with a team total of 296 (+8).

Victoria Zheng moved into the top 10 after scoring a 1-under 71, her first round under par this season. Zheng is now in eighth place heading into Tuesday's final round, having recorded two birdies for a total of four in the tournament.

Lexanne Halama maintained consistent performance, posting an even-par 72 to finish the day tied for ninth.

Brielle Mapanao is tied for 33rd after her second-round score of 77 (+5). Yurang Li is tied for 39th with a round of 76 (+4), and Brielle Burns is tied for 51st after carding a 77 (+5).

Anna Ritter, competing individually, is tied for eighth following a round of 74 (+2).

TCU continues to lead the team standings at 7-over (583), while Houston's Natalie Saint Germain leads individually at 5-under (139).

The Fighting Illini will resume play tomorrow with the third and final round starting at 8:00 a.m. CT.
