Illinois softball announced its fall slate on Friday. The Fighting Illini will play eight games at Eichelberger Field before concluding the home schedule with the Orange and Blue World Series.
The Illini Fall Classic begins on Sept. 21, with Illinois hosting Danville College and Greenville College. Lakeland College will visit on Sept. 26 for a 10-inning game.
The Orange and Blue Bash starts on Sept. 28, featuring competition from Illinois Wesleyan and McKendree against the Fighting Illini. The Eichelberger Games follow on Oct. 5, with Illinois facing Kankakee and Spoon River.
The annual alumni game is scheduled for Oct. 6, with the Orange and Blue World Series taking place from Oct. 9-11. The final fall contest will be held in Columbia, Mo., where the Illini will face Missouri in a 10-inning match on Oct. 12.
Tyra Perry enters her ninth season at Illinois, holding a record of 264-197 while leading the team.
