Village of Rossville Finance & Purchasing Committee met Oct. 16.

Here are the minutes provided by the committee:

Trustee Gammon called the meeting to order at 6:45 p.m. The meeting was held at the Rossville Municipal Building located at 120 East Attica Street in Rossville.

Committee members physically present-Trustees Gammon, Jones and Black Committee members absent –None

Guests present physically were Mayor Queen, Clerk White, Trustees Cornell and Daniel and Kenneth Gammon.

Minutes of the September 18, 2023 committee meeting were presented. Motion was made by Black, seconded by Jones to dispense with the reading of the minutes and accept the minutes as presented. Vote: Black, yes; Jones, yes; Gammon, yes.

The amended August 2023 and regular September 2023 Treasurer’s Reports were presented. Clerk White explained the beginning balance of the Gas Meter Replacement Sinking Fund was incorrect. Therefore, 2 contributions totaling $2,170.00 were added to the beginning balance of $1,082.00 to make the correct ending balance of $3,252.00. Trustee Gammon spoke with Treasurer Ault and requested her to add a “Contributions” and “Expenses” columns to the customer deposits section of her report. Clerk White reported Treasurer Ault has already been in the office, the columns have been added in preparation of next month’s report.

Current bills were reviewed. Trustee Gammon requested the check made payable to Radarsigns be held until the signs have been received. Motion was made by Black, seconded by Jones to approve the bills for payment but not release the Radarsigns check, as presented. Vote: Gammon, yes; Jones, yes; Black, yes.

Motion was made by Black, seconded by Jones to adjourn the meeting. Vote: Black, yes; Jones, yes. The meeting adjourned at 6:54 p.m.
