City of Hoopeston City Council met Sept. 22.

Here are the minutes provided by the council:

I. CALL TO ORDER: Mayor Wise called the meeting to order following the Pledge of Allegiance.

II. ROLL CALL: The seven council members present were Eyrich, K. Ferrell, M. Ferrell, Highfill, Lawson, Porth and Scharlach. Garrett was absent.

III. No public comment.

IV. K. Ferrell moved to approve the agenda seconded by Lawson. The agenda was approved 6-0.

V. No Executive Session

VI. No reports from officers.

VII. No communications

VIII. No Unfinished Business.

IX. No new Business.

X. Mayor Comments:

Resolution for Safe Routes to School: K. Ferrell moved to approve Resolution 2024-2 supporting safe Routes to School. M. Ferrell seconded the motion. Roll call vote was taken, and the motion was approved 7 to 0.

IDOT Resolution for Improvement: K. Ferrell made a motion to approve Resolution 2024-3 IDOT Resolution for Improvement. Highfill seconded the motion. Roll call vote was taken, and the motion was approved 7 to 0.

XI ADJOURNMENT

Ferrell made a motion to adjourn seconded by Scharlach. The meeting adjourned at 5:08 p.m.
